Privam is an AI app that runs on your phone or tablet instead of in the cloud. It has three tools: a chat with AI (text, photos and voice), an interpreter for a conversation between two people, and a recorder that turns recordings into text and summaries. Everything they make is kept in one library on your device.

Yes. The AI model is on your device, so your chats, the photos you ask about, your recordings and their transcripts are processed there and are not sent to us or to anyone else. There is no account.

The app does use the internet for a few things: to download its AI models, to show ads in the free version (non-personalized ads by Google AdMob, which receives technical data from the device), to confirm a purchase with the store, and when you choose to send us a report. The details are in the Privacy Policy.

Premium collects nothing for advertising: the advertising service is never started there. The data listed in the privacy labels in the App Store and Google Play belongs to the free version only, and only to its non-personalized ads.

Yes, once its AI model has been downloaded. Premium works offline without limits. The free version shows ads, which need a connection, so it includes only a short offline trial.

Premium is a single purchase, not a subscription. The price for your country is shown in the app and in the store. On a new phone, "Restore purchases" brings Premium back when you use the same App Store or Google Play account.

• iPhone and iPad: iOS 17 or later, an A15 chip or newer and at least 4 GB of memory. That means iPhone 13 and later, and recent iPads (for example iPad mini 6, iPad Air with M1 or newer, iPad Pro with an M-series chip).
• Mac: Macs with Apple silicon (M1 or later) run the iPad app, in a window. Find it in the Mac App Store under "iPhone & iPad Apps".
• Android: Android 11 or later, a 64-bit processor and at least 4 GB of memory; 6 GB or more is recommended.

The AI runs on the device itself, so a faster phone answers faster. On older or smaller devices answers take longer and the phone can get warm during long tasks.

After installation Privam downloads its AI model once: about 2.6 GB (have about 3 GB free; Wi-Fi is recommended). The app itself takes a few hundred megabytes. Optional larger models and more accurate speech models can be downloaded in Settings, and your recordings take the space audio takes.

The app itself is in ten languages: English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Hindi.

We have tested chat, translation and writing in 53 languages, and those are the ones the app offers. Other languages may work too, with less certainty. In the interpreter most of them can be spoken, and all of them can be typed. Speech-to-text covers many of them; for most, a more accurate speech model can be downloaded in Settings. Quality differs between languages, and the app marks the weaker ones as "beta".

Choose the two languages and put the phone between you. Each person taps their microphone and speaks; the translation appears on the other person's half of the screen and is read aloud. In face-to-face mode the other half is turned towards the person opposite. A language that cannot be recognized from speech can be typed. Conversations can be saved, continued and shared.

Tap Record and speak; recording goes on with the screen off. When you stop, the recording is turned into text on your device, with timestamps. From the transcript you can get a summary, the key points and action items, ask questions about it, search it and export it as TXT, SRT or VTT. You can also add audio files you already have.

Please make sure the people you record know about it and agree where the law requires it.

Yes. Answers, translations, transcripts and summaries are made by AI models and can contain mistakes. Check anything important, and do not rely on Privam for medical, legal or emergency decisions.

Open models that run on your device: Gemma (by Google) for chat and translation, and Whisper (by OpenAI) for speech recognition. More models are offered in Settings for devices that can run them.

Everything is on your device. Delete single chats, conversations and recordings in the Library; "Clear all" in Settings removes all chats and interpreter conversations. Uninstalling the app removes everything, including the downloaded models.
