1. In short
- Privam's AI runs on your device. Your chats, the photos you ask about, your voice, your recordings and their transcripts, and your interpreter conversations are processed and stored on your device. They are not sent to us or to anyone else.
- There is no account, and we do not know who you are.
- The app connects to the internet for a few specific things, listed in section 4: to download the AI models, to show ads in the free version, to confirm a purchase, and when you choose to send us a report.
- The free version shows non-personalized ads delivered by Google AdMob, which receives technical data from your device. With Premium the advertising service is not started.
- The data collection that the App Store privacy label and the Google Play Data safety section describe (advertising identifier, IP address and approximate location, device and ad-interaction data, diagnostics) is the advertising service in the free version, and nothing else. It is used for non-personalized ads and analytics of the ads, and it is never linked to your chats, photos or recordings.
2. Who is responsible
Privam is developed and operated by Sayene, a brand of SayEnergy Sp. z o.o., Nieduża 7, 02-274 Warsaw, Poland ("we"). For the personal data described in this policy we are the controller within the meaning of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Contact: info@privam.ai.
This policy covers the Privam app for iOS, iPadOS and Android and the website privam.ai. It is an integral part of our Terms of Use.
3. What stays on your device
The following is created, processed and stored only on your device. We cannot see it, receive it or recover it:
- your chats with the AI, including the pictures you attach;
- what you say to the app (dictation, voice conversations, the interpreter): speech is recognized on the device, and that audio is not kept;
- interpreter conversations you save;
- recordings you make with the recorder, audio files you add, and their transcripts and summaries;
- your settings, the downloaded AI models, and the small counters the free version needs (for example how many translations you have used today).
Your control
- Delete single chats, conversations and recordings in the Library, or everything at once in Settings. Uninstalling the app removes all of it.
- The app keeps its data out of device backups (iCloud and Google backups), so your chats and recordings are not copied to a cloud by the app.
- When you share or export something yourself (for example a transcript through the share sheet), it goes where you send it.
Permissions
- Microphone: only while you dictate, talk with the assistant, use the interpreter or record.
- Camera and photos: when you take or choose a picture to ask about.
- Notifications (Android): to show that a recording or a transcription is running.
Reading aloud uses the voices installed on your device.
4. When the app connects to the internet
4.1 Downloading AI models and settings
After installation, and when you choose another model, the app downloads model files from a model hosting service (currently Hugging Face) and a small configuration file from our own storage (models.privam.ai, hosted by Cloudflare). As with any download, these servers receive your IP address and technical details of the request. Nothing you wrote, said or recorded is sent.
4.2 Advertising in the free version
The free version shows ads delivered by Google AdMob (Google Ireland Limited and Google LLC). We request non-personalized ads: ads that are not chosen on the basis of a profile of you.
To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google's advertising software in the app collects data from your device, in particular: the IP address (from which an approximate location can be derived), device and advertising identifiers where the system makes them available, information about the device and the app, your interactions with ads, and diagnostic data. It never has access to your chats, photos, recordings or transcripts.
Where the law requires it (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), a consent message from Google is shown before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice later in the app's Settings. Google's own information: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Premium collects nothing for advertising. With Premium the advertising service (and its consent form) is never started and no ad requests are made, so the data above is not collected. The app then connects to the internet only for the things in 4.1, 4.3 and 4.4, none of which carries your content.
This is the data that the privacy label in the App Store and the Data safety section in Google Play list for Privam: advertising identifier, IP address (approximate location), interactions with ads and diagnostics, shared with Google for advertising, and analytics. It is encrypted in transit and applies to the free version only. Privam itself has no analytics or tracking software in either version.
4.3 Purchases
Premium is bought through the App Store or Google Play, which process the payment. We never receive your payment details. To confirm that a purchase is valid, the app sends the purchase receipt or purchase token issued by the store to our verification service (api.privam.ai, running on Cloudflare), which checks it with Apple or Google and returns the result. The receipt does not contain your name or payment details, and we do not keep it.
4.4 Reports you send
In Settings you can send us a report about a problem or about AI-generated content. The report contains what you type and attach, the app version and the platform (iOS or Android), and reaches us by email. Please do not include personal data you do not want us to see. We use reports only to handle them and to improve the app.
4.5 Links
The FAQ, this policy and the Terms of Use open in your browser on privam.ai (see section 5).
5. The website privam.ai
The website is hosted by Cloudflare, which processes technical data of each request (such as the IP address) to deliver the pages and to protect the site. The website has no advertising and no analytics cookies.
When you use a contact form, we receive what you enter (for example your name, email address, company and message) by email and use it to answer you. The forms are protected against automated abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile.
6. What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account.
- We do not include analytics or tracking software of our own in the app.
- We do not sell personal data.
- We do not use your chats, photos or recordings to train AI models: we never receive them.
7. Legal bases
Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: our legitimate interests in providing the downloads, verifying purchases, handling reports and keeping the website secure (Article 6(1)(f)); the performance of a contract when delivering the Premium you bought (Article 6(1)(b)); and your consent, where a consent message asks for it for advertising (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw consent at any time in the app's Settings.
8. How long data is kept
Everything on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the app. Reports and contact messages are kept only as long as needed to handle them and to document how they were resolved. Purchase receipts are not stored by our verification service. Technical logs of our hosting provider are kept according to its standard practice.
9. Service providers and international transfers
We use the following providers: Cloudflare (hosting, the verification and report services, email routing), Google (AdMob advertising; Google Play), Apple (App Store), and Hugging Face (model hosting). Some of them process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under the safeguards the law provides, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
10. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. Because the app has no account and your content never reaches us, most of this is in your own hands on your device. For anything we hold (for example a report or a contact message you sent), write to info@privam.ai.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority; in Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
11. Children
Privam is not directed to children under 13 (or the higher age your country requires for consent). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
When the app or the law changes, we update this policy and its effective date, and publish the new version here and through the link in the app. Significant changes are announced in the app.

This policy is governed by the laws of Poland, consistent with our Terms of Use. It is published in English; if a translation is provided and differs, the English version prevails.
